Ciao tutti! Hola todos! Hello everybody!
I cannot wait to get out on the road with you all to explore the wonders of Europe - from Italy, to Spain and Portugal, to Ireland and Scotland, and everywhere in between! For me there is nothing quite like the experience of discovering the beauty of a different culture while traveling with a small group of people, sharing a bit of each other as we sit around a table eating delicious food and drinking vino together - a truly authentic human experience. I look forward to creating new memories with those of you I will be traveling with this year!
Patrick discovered his passion for travel as a young man of 17 years when he first stepped foot on Italian soil, and he hasn't stopped traveling since. This desire to experience other peoples and cultures led him to study abroad with Gonzaga University in Florence, Italy during his junior year of college where he gallivanted across Europe experiencing Oktoberfest in Munich, St. Patrick's Day in Ireland, the romance of Paris, the beauty of a sunset on the Greek island of Santorini, and the awe and wonder of being on top of the world standing on the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
During his time at Gonzaga University Patrick became a die-hard fan of Gonzaga basketball (Go Zags!) and dove into his love of music as a member of the university's acappella group, the Big Bing Theory. After completing his Bachelor's degree in Religious Studies at Gonzaga he ventured down to a small village in the mountains of Nicaragua where he taught English and music to children and teenagers for a year and a half. Patrick's wanderlust later inspired him to start his own travel company, Live Out Loud Travel, where he led his first tour to London and Spain and knew right away that leading tours was the career for him. In 2011 he traveled as a Presenter for Rachel's Challenge, sharing Rachel Joy Scott's story of kindness and compassion with young people in schools across the United States.
Patrick is a graduate of the International Guide Academy where he obtained his certification as an International Tour Manager. Today, when he is not out on the road leading groups as a Tour Captain he works full-time in the office for Story Land & Sea ® as a Sales Support Specialist.
