Josh's lust to see the World began the first time he opened an atlas at age five. His summers jobs during college, were guiding North American tours, and upon graduating from the University of Missouri with a History degree he became an International Tour Manager. His groups adventured to over 90 countries including remote destinations of New Guinea, Mongolia, and Afghanistan.
Josh put his international guiding on hold to start a family. He opened his own tour company in California handling corporate and incentive groups. He provided them the same wonderful experiences that he had been exposed to. His international adventures were now with his wife Grace, and two sons, Jared and Adam. Summers involved extended stays in foreign countries so his family could truly immerse themselves in the local culture and language. His family has skied the peaks of Whistler, boated on Lake Titicaca, followed the footsteps of Maimonides in Cordoba, and gazed with wonder at the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. They never did spot that scarlet McCaw his eight-year-old son journeyed to Costa Rica to find! Josh truly believes that travel is the only thing you buy that makes you richer.
Josh's sons have graduated college so Josh is back on the road and wants to embark on new travel adventures with you…turning strangers into friends, and curiosity into enlightenment!
When Josh isn't on tour he lives in Mill Valley, California with his wife. Together they hike and bike the beautiful trails of Mount Tamalpais, dance at all the summer musical festivals, and enjoy the theatre and symphony. Josh is a dedicated volunteer in his community having served as a youth docent at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, driver for Meals of Marin, youth mentor and tutor, and server at St. Vincent de Paul's soup kitchen.
